As the cliché goes, I have been there, done it and worn the t-shirt. I trade horse racing markets full time, and like many, there was a time when I struggled to consistently turn a profit. It’s important to remember trading isn’t just about winning large sums of money, it’s about not losing through foolish mistakes. My background in poker helped me massively in this regard.
I frequently present my horse racing results on social media, and I am often asked what strategies I use to get such results. People want to see and learn what I do, but it’s not an efficient use of time to keep answering the same questions repeatedly. If you seriously want to learn, then I’ve condensed some of what I’ve learnt into this e-series of guides for you.
There are plenty of learning resources available to help increase one’s knowledge of sports trading, though, few people can put knowledge gained from such materials into practice. It’s one thing to have knowledge of trading, but it’s more important to have knowledge on what you are trading. Without the latter you will continue to make foolish mistakes.
With that in mind, I’ve always been obsessed with rational thought. Not just how does something happen, but the reason why it is happening. Understanding the reasons behind market behaviour is an advantage as It allows us to identify situations and take advantage of them or adapt should they change. This must be one of the biggest contributors to my success.
It was this thought process that resulted in the creation of my first ever trade zone for Catterick Racecourse. Catterick briefly became my favourite course (to trade) as it was the first that I learned to trade properly. Since then, I’ve developed similar trade zones for most racecourses across the UK & Ireland and I haven’t blown a bank since.
In addition to the guides which show you how I trade each fixture in play I’ve also made my Bet Finder Tool available to help you highlight selections pre race, and the accompanying List Builder that I use to create systems for supplemental trading income.
I’ve wanted to give back to the trading community for a while, so I hope my insight will help you towards the next step of your trading journey.

I can’t remember how I found out about Ivan but I’m so pleased that I did.
The guides for the courses make you look at horse racing in a totally new light. Not to mention the help I have received from other members of the group. I’ve been told on a few occasions that there’s no such thing as a stupid question, which is just as well because I’ve asked a few.
All that aside I think the most important area I’ve improved is discipline and patience. Now I make what I’m happy to make and I turn the computer off and get on with my day. I’m not using big stakes, but my bank has gone from £80 to £731 in 3 months. I’m compounding until I get to £2k and then I will start withdrawing money daily.

I joined Ivan's trading group after blowing a few banks and having absolutely no proper structure.
